Table of contents

The eSIM status and the SM-DP+ status are provided separately within the API and console. These two status types are independent and not interrelated.

eSIM status #

eSIM data state on the carrier’s side throughout various usage stages of using the eSIM profile or eSIM data.

  1. Provisioning – Newly purchased eSIM being created by the server
  2. New – Newly created eSIM, ready for installation
  3. Onboard – Newly installed eSIM, waiting for first use, no data use.
  4. In Use – Installed eSIM serving data from a data plan
  5. Canceled – Newly purchased eSlM, refunded and returned to inventory (available & download)
  6. Expired – eSlM exceeds validity period
  7. Suspended – Installed eSIM currently stopped
  8. Archived – eSIMs hidden from our main view are Archived. While still in your account, you can hide eSIMs from view.
  9. USEDUP – Installed eSlM consumed 100% of the available data
  10. Revoked – Installed eSIM was revoked for some disruptive usage, without refund back to balance.

SM-DP+ status #

Operational status of eSIM card state changed by users.

With our in-house RSP platform, we allow partners to track the SM-DP+ status ( operational status of eSIM cards only, this process typically requires users to manually perform actions such as entering activation codes, scanning QR codes, or toggling the eSIM on/off directly on their eUICC-enabled devices.)

  • Available – eSlM are ready for download, haven’t been installed onto the device yet.
  • Download (Downloaded) – This wouldn’t show up very often. it would be when the eSIM has been delivered to LPA ( Local Profile Assistant,  responsible for securely downloading profiles from the carrier’s SM-DP+ (Subscription Manager Data Preparation +) server to the device’s eUICC) , but the eSlM has not yet been released.
  • Installation (Installed) – The eSlM is installed.
  • Enabled – eSIM turned on now.
  • Disabled – eSlM is installed on a device, but is not turned on.
  • Deleted – The eSlM has been uninstalled from the device.
