Selling eSIMs with your existing ecommerce platform is easier than ever before thanks to the no code movement and Make.com. Our Make application can be used to deliver the eSIM payload upon a paid order in WooCommerce.
This tutorial will show you the steps to make an eSIM integration for WooCommerce. Please check our guide on Woocommerce product import, if you have not done so yet.
Import the JSON blueprint of this scenario Learn how.

Requirements
- Live WooCommerce shop with esim products
- Make.com Account with eSIM Application
Guide
Once you have created your Make account, create a brand new scenario.
First step is to add a Webhook Application to Make. Click the “+” in favorites and search.

Give the webhook a name, and then copy the webhook URL.
Then head over to your WooCommerce install and go to Settings > Advanced > Webhooks > Add Webhook

Once added you’ll have your trigger that fires anytime there is an update to an order status. For our sake we only care when the order has been fully paid and marked “completed“
With this step done, you are now sending orders to Make.com
Connect to the eSIM Module
Back at Make, we can now connect the eSIM module.

We already have a guide on connecting the eSIM module, so check that out here. Once your connection is made and you’ve tested that you can retrieve your eSIMAccess account balance, you are ready to move on.
Create a Product
If you have a brand new store, you’ll want to set up a test eSIM product, so that you can make and order and then trigger the webhook. You can download a CSV of all of our SKUs/Slugs in your eSIM Access account or see them here. The key piece of info you need is add to the product is SKU. For demo purpose make a demo product called Europe with an SKU of EU-42_1_7.

Once you’ve completed a paid order test you should have received data like this in your Make application WooCommerce module. If you don’t have any live paid orders, you’ll need to create one so that your Make scenario has some data to start with.
Making an order
Once you have made and order and triggered the webhook, you are ready for the next step of the make scenario.

For the third step, you can now add the Order a Profile module. It uses the same authentication as the prior step. All you need here are the WooCommerce order ID and the Line Item SKU. For demo purpose we fix the quantity to “1”.
Add your Order ID as the Transaction ID, set the package Quantity to 1 ( for now single order only allowed), and use the SKU to define the package.
After this step, go to the tools menu and add the sleep module. Here we add a 30 second delay to give the eSiM server enough time to create the eSIM. After this, we will now add the get an eSIM by order number module. Here we add the order number retrieved from order a profile step.
Test the flow
With the modules in place, we can now test the flow.

Any easy way to get some data to work with is to run the module. I’m going to right click and choose “Run this Module only“. Then it asks for some parameters. Add a TxnID, QTY and the SKU of US_1_7.
Fill in the needed pieces of information which are an order id , QTY and the SKU. If your eSIM access account has a balance, and you have entered this correctly, requesting a valid eSIM plan the result will be an order number.
Copying the order number you can run Get the eSim by order number module, and the result will be the payload of all the needed eSIM data.
Then add the Get an eSIM by Order Number function to retrieve the eSIM details. You won’t have the data yet for the order number as a sample transaction has not yet run. For now put in place holder data.

From here, you have everything you need to either email the customer or update the Woocommerce order notes.
Paid orders only
Woocommerce does not send a Web Hook notice on paid all orders only, so we can filter out everything but the completed orders. This filter means that only completed orders will pass step one.

Order Paid, getting the eSIM
Once you have the eSIM payload, you’re ready to pass it on to the customer. This can be done via any email plugin or very simply with the WooCommerce module to update and send a client note.
Connecting the WooCommerce Module
If you would like to update the order notes and have Woocommerce send out a link to the eSIM. You’ll need to do the following steps. You’ll only do this once, and Make will save the keys for use in your account.
Next head over to your WordPress WooCommerce installation. You can find your API keys in WooCommerce >> Settings >> Advanced >> RestAPI

Set a description and choose read/write.

Once generate the API keys, copy them back to the Make application, and enter the details.

When you click save you’ll have save your Woocommere Keys, and you’ll use these for all of your connections to your site.

You can do that many ways, like connecting an email sending service and sending a separate email with the details of the order. For simplicity sake, we’ll just finish by updating a customer note using the Create an Order Note function, and including the link to the purchased eSIM. Turn on email customer, and they will get an email note once this eSIM link is posted to the order.

Additionally you can do things like save the eSIMs to a Google sheet for quick reference and customer support. You can also use the WooCommerce module to update an order status.
Known limitations
With any success you’ll be off Make’s free tier and that means you’ll need to upgrade to one of their paid plans. Luckily Make is cheaper than Zapier and have great functionality if you decide to use them as your no code platform.
