You can start your own eSIM store in no time using Shopify and one of the many digital delivery plugins.

In this video, I will guide you through the process of selling eSims on Shopify. I will show you use the DPL Selling Codes App for digital delivery. We will also explore how to add license keys and QR codes to your products. Additionally, I will demonstrate the order process and how customers can receive and activate their eSims. By the end of this video, you will have a clear understanding of how to start selling eSims on Shopify.

Perquisites

Shopify and the plugins are paid, so you’ll need to budget $30-$50 per month for your Shopify store. You’ll also need an  eSIM Access account and have funded your account in order to purchase your eSIM inventory.

How to start

Follow the Shopify sign up set up steps to get started with your account. Choose the digital store option during account creation. Once set up you’ll need on of the license key plugins from the app store.

For the demo, I chose DPL – Selling Codes App which does gives a 14 day free trial and will cost $144 per year.

You need to create a Shopify product first. Set the title, description, and price.

Additionally you can import an entire catalog with Shopify import feature. They have a CSV file format you can follow.:

Once done, head back to the DPL app and you’ll see the ability to add keys for the product. For our case, our keys are unique eSIM links, and will be sent one after another to clients. Head over to eSIM Access and copy the short URL of the plan you purchased and wish to sell.

Back in Shopify, add the copied eSIM URL here in the DPL app for the product.

Once eSIM links have been added, your product inventory should be updated to reflect how many eSIMs are in stock.

Continue setting up your store and customize to your needs. Our demo store looks like this.

After your payment is set up, the final step is delivery to your customer after payment.

Once payment is received, you can process the order – this sends out an email with the eSIM link.

Once the customer receives the email, they can open the link, scan the QR code and add the eSIM to their device.

Here is a sample of the QR code the client gets:

You can also customise the email to give additional details on using the eSIM.

Shopify has endless ways to improve the ecommerce experience. It’s a great, low cost way to launch your eSIM business.
